Cole is one month old today! I can not believe that he is already a month old! He is growing up so fast. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and here are his stats:
* Head circumference : 36 1/2 - 37 percentile
* Length : 21 3/4 - 81 percentile
* Weight : 9lbs, 14 oz - 32 percentile
Can you believe that he is almost 10 pounds! No wonder why I have been so sore lately. That is a lot to carry around! The doctor's appointment went well. They told me that he needs to come back next month where he will get 3 shots! This will be the first set of shots that I have had to take him to so I am definitely not looking forward to that.
This past month has been so hard. I never realized how hard it is to not only to have a baby but also take care of one. Being a mom is definitely the hardest job in the world. I am very sleep deprived and crave some adult conservation at times but it is all worth it. This past month has been wonderful. Here are a few things that I love about Cole.
1. His facial expressions, he cracks me up! He goes from smiling to frowning in about 2 seconds.
2. His snoring (he gets that from his daddy). You would think it would be annoying but I think it is the sweetest sound in the world.
3. When he falls asleep in my arms.
4. When he wraps his fingers around one of my fingers.
I can't wait to see what he has in store for me next month!

Lindsay,
ReplyDeleteThank you for being so honest about the changes and challenges involved with a new baby! Reading books (or listening to others' stories) cannot properly prepare you for the responsibility of raising a child while healing and being sore and hormonal and sleep deprived!
You and Rachel should call one another more often and simply moan into the phone but then again, who has time, huh?!
Love you,
Susan
Happy one month birthday Cole! He is getting so big!!
ReplyDeleteBeing a new parent is totally the hardest thing in the world to do. But fortunately for the sake of our sanity, it gets easier. Cherish every moment of him being this small because the time flies and before you know it, he'll be running all over your house!
