Myrtle Beach

We took our first trip to the beach this summer! We went to Myrtle Beach and it was only a 2 and a half hour drive so Cole did really well. It was the perfect distance to feel like you are getting away but still not so far that Cole would have to be in a car seat all day. His new thing is to hang his leg off the side of his carseat and really kick back! Here is a picture of the two kids on our way to the beach! We went with my mom, Rachel, and Katie. Rachel's mom has a beach condo that she so generously offered for us to stay in. Thank you Susan!Their favorite thing to do at the condo was to be pushed or push each other on the luggage cart. That kept them entertained for the most part if we were inside! Aren't they so cute?!It was the perfect weekend to go the beach. It was one of the warmest weekends we have had in a while so we were actually able to put the kids in their swimsuits and go swimming in the heated pool outside or walk on the beach. Here is Cole's baywatch picture! I've decided that the beach is the best place for a toddler. There is so much space for him to wander and nothing that can hurt him. It is the perfect place for me to take him! This time at the beach Cole actually liked the water! He would run up to the water and as the wave was coming in he would run from them. It was the cutest thing ever! He would just laugh and laugh afterward. He can always find a way to make me smile! Here is a cute picture of Cole and Katie in their swimsuits eating cheetos!

They definitely enjoyed themselves at the beach. Here are a few pictures that I just couldn't help posting even though I see Cole and Katie getting mad at me for it later. Come on, you would have posted it too!

We had such a fun time at the beach and shopping at the outlets. Hopefully we can go on another vacation to the beach before the summer ends!
