8 Months Old!

Isn't he just the cutest little boy you've ever seen!! I make a cute baby, don't I? Cole is 8 months old today!!!! Yeh!! I apologize for not keeping up with the blog as well as I should but we have been really, really busy this month!! I think that Cole and I have been out of the house everyday for about 3 weeks straight. We spend a lot of time at My Gym. We decided to keep going since they have free play everyday for the whole summer! Cole has moved up to the big kids class (Tiny Tykes) where he does a lot of dangerous stuff! He has been down the zip line, has been taught how to do back flips (yes, with my help he does back flips), he went through a pretend car wash yesterday, and swings on two rings like in the Olympics!!! We have so much fun there, I don't think I have ever heard Cole whine or cry ever since we started going 5 months ago. He absolutely loves it! When we aren't at my gym getting ready for the summer Olympics, we are at the library. We went to the planetarium last week and the week before we saw Billy Jonas. He sings and plays instruments made out of recycled goods. The library always has puppets or singers that are fun to watch. We have also spent a lot of days at the pool and going to lunch with friends. The last few weeks have flown by! It has been great! I couldn't believe it when I realized that Cole was 8 months old today! This month has been really fun. Cole is officially ticklish. He laughs everytime I tickle his tummy or grab the tops of his thighs. He squirms everytime I run my finger along the inside of his foot! And he has the cutest laugh. I have to tell Marshall to give him a break because Marshall will just keep tickling and tickling him to hear him laugh. It is the best sound ever! Cole got a new toy this month. His Jeep walker! He walks all over now. He is a pro at walking backwards and just this week he mastered walking forward. I love watching him walk and follow me around the kitchen. But it has gotten him into a little bit of trouble (see below): He is grabbing at everything! He pulls all the magnets off the refridgerator and grabs all the hand towels. He loves grandma's antique hearts hanging on her sewing machine. In the picture above you can see that he has pulled down the step ladder and is eating it. And if you look closely you can see the plastic bags full of Daisy's dog food under his walker that he pulled off a chair earlier and also tried to eat! Marshall says I'm crazy but I swear Cole has said ma-ma four times this month. Susan (my mother in law) is my witness! He has said it twice in front of her and he always says it when someone else is holding him and he is looking at me. I think Marshall denies it because he wanted him to say da-da first! (Ha... he loves me more!) Cole has been sleeping good lately. He sleeps for about 10 hours everynight. He still takes about 3-4 short naps a day. And you can probably tell by his pictures that the child loves to eat! He is still eating all his mushed up fruits and veggies. He basically eats anything you put in his mouth. He's not too picky, the only thing he hates are the green veggies like green beans and peas. His favorite food is prunes (he didn't get that from me)! Cole continues to get sweeter and cuter each day. Just when I think I can't love him anymore, he smiles at me and makes my heart melt. I am so lucky to have him in my life. I can't believe how much my life has changed over the past 8 months. I never knew parenthood would be so exhausting, limiting, and stressful! But it is also the best and most rewarding thing I have ever done. Cole, I love you so so so so so so so much! Happy 8 months!
